Going to the gym sometimes feels like a chore. You have to push yourself to do something you really don’t like, but you know you should or have to do it.
I searched on line for a few gyms, one of the biggest ones are Balley’s and LA Fitness. There are few that fellow Yelpers recommended, but I would need one a little close to the house since my schedule is a little busy.
My schedule:
Monday’s I usually go up to Pembroke Pines where my parents live and I stay there, so I would need a gym that had classes starting at 4:30pm. (This is pretty hard to find but I did find one gym that offers this). I go to school in Kendall Tuesday and Thursdays, so it would be preferable that the gym is on the way to my boyfriends house and not passed it. Wednesday’s depend on which Wednesday it is. Every other Wednesday I get my nails done so when I am free, I would like classes that started at 4:30 if possible, the days I have my nail appointment it would have to be around 6:30. Friday’s I most likely won’t go, but if I do, I have acupuncture appointments every Friday, so the class would have to be around 5:30 if I rushed over there on time. So as you can see, I have a pretty busy schedule, but I know I have to stop and make time to go to the gym.
Classes I want them to offer:
I would prefer, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba and Kick Boxing
Gyms I had in mind:
So I looked into Bally’s total fitness and the classes they offer aren’t many and the times do not really coincide with my schedule.
LA fitness is pretty much the same.
I also wouldn’t prefer these gyms because I have heard many negative comments about them.
I looked into a few that fellow Yelpers commented about but they are a bit out of my way.
I am most recently looking into Lady’s of America. The one closest to my boyfriends house doesn’t have the schedule I need, so I looked into one a bit further but still on the way to my boyfriends house from school. The only thing is they want to charge me 75 dollars down at 25 a month. I want to try to lower that deal. I’m going to try the free 3 day trial. (Which by the way, used to be a week). After the 3 days I am going to tell him what I am willing to pay and tell him to call me if he can do it. If he can’t, then I’ll have to decide if it’s really worth paying what he is offering or looking for another gym. I can also go talk to other Lady of America’s since they are all privately owned. (FYI: You can own your own franchise of Lady of America’s).
I’ll let you know how it goes. I start my free 3 day trial today after school. It’s going to be a late night.
XO,
Kristin Nicole
