I found an article on Yahoo, that talks about how the wii fit is only a fad, how people use it for a month and then drop it. Brian Crecente, managing editor of the popular gaming blog Kotaku, says to not go out and get it.
I think people are just lazy, just like any exercise you start to do it and you drop it for a while because we as human beings get lazy. I admit, I have been there plenty of times.
For instance, one of my New Year Goals, was to exercise at least 3 times a week. I started off great, then for about the last 3 weeks I haven’t done anything. I got sick for a little, and I’ve been busy with school, still this is no excuse, true reason laziness. This is everyone’s problem. I don’t think that the wii fit doesn’t work, I just think people are lazy. I have been thinking of buying one once I find my house, I think that I will use it. And like any exercise I will drop it for a while, and then continue it. =) But that clearly isn’t the wii fit’s fault, or Nintendo for promoting it this way. This is our fault for not continuing to exercise. I definitely will use it though and try my best to not drop it.
Monday I began to exercise again. I felt like my body needed it. So far I’m 2 for 2 and today I’m going to work out too. The last 2 days I did Pilates, today I’m going to try this new Yoga DVD I bought. I want to get in better shape by March. I’m going to the Key West for my sister in law and 2 other friends Big 30 Celebration, we are renting a 3 bedroom cottage by the beach. I am super excited and can’t wait to go. Now although I know I’m not completely over weight, I have gained a little bit of weight that I am not currently comfortable with. I used to always be so skinny, and that I didn’t like either, I finally gained the weight I was happy with. I was happy with my body and recently like never before I gained more weight. I guess this is what age does to you. I think it’s important to stay healthy especially as we get older, because it’s not as easy as before to loose the weight. My goal is really just to loose the fat around the mid-waist area. Then I’ll be ready for the beach this summer! What are your goals, for this summer?
